Whatchoo-Wish-You-Were-Wearin’ Wednesday : Pale Pinks and Wonder Woman

Whatchoo-Wish-You-Were-Wearin’ Wednesday : Pale Pinks and Wonder Woman

So I sat down last night, rarin’ to go after a great BodyJam workout to prep my latest WWYWWW post. I had a topic in mind, and visions …

… and then I put Downton Abbey on as background noise …

and that was the end of my focus.

It was the third time I’d seen that particular episode, so I’d say it’s official : I have a problem.

Anyway, the few moments I could pull my eyes away from the screen, I found this blouse.

Isn’t it lovely? It’s delicate and airy with just a touch of pink. {Love!} It reminded me of that Wonder Woman episode that features WW back at home on Paradise Island. Everyone’s gorgeous, but as a little girl, I didn’t focus on that as much as I did those dresses. Long, flowy, willowy fabrics, and I so wanted one.

Unfortunately, my mom just kept buying me argyle bell bottoms.

Wonder Woman

Am I the only one who remembers that episode? I tried to find a quality still off Google but it wasn’t happening.

Anyway, I’m sorry for the lack of focus this week: I’ve been a little off since Sund …

Oh wait, gotta go … Masterpiece is showing Downton.

Again.

Blessing and Light : A Joyful Giveaway!

Blessing and Light : A Joyful Giveaway!

Blogging has been such a joy to me.

It has brought me healing.

It has allowed me to indulge in two things I love: writing and photography.

And it has put me in touch with some incredible women.

One of those gals is named Jacinta. She’s from Minnesota, and she runs this gorgeous Etsy shop called Blessing and Light.

Little Light

Jacinta wrote me a note a few weeks ago, asking if I would mind her sending me this beautiful paver she’d designed. She’d found my blog through a comment I’d left on another, and just felt in her heart that this stone was mine.

Would I mind? Would I mind?!

Someone was about to send me something they’d made with their own two {oh-so-talented} hands, just because

Truly, is that not a beautiful gesture?

As soon as I read her message, I had to go and glance at her shop, and I immediately fell in love. Her products have this beautiful, delicate, but rustic look to them, and each one inspires. I connected with the very first product I glanced at …

I love you a bushel and a peck. Rustic tumbled (concrete) stone paver. Garden, Home, Mantle, Bookshelf

I used to sing this to The Boy all the time. I know every verse.

Clearly, Jacinta and I were destined to be friends.

One of my other favorite products was a set of magnets. Again, hand-poured little pieces of art made by Jacinta’s hands. This set of 4 is called the Wise Words collection and it includes another of my all-time favorite quotes: “Do small things with great love.” {Mother Theresa}

Magnets Full

Jacinta is so generous, when I mentioned wanting to buy the magnets, she wouldn’t hear of it. She sent me two. One for me, and one because I’d like to continue the random acts of kindness by sending one to a lucky reader!

I’m also including a $10 gift card to Dunkins, because nothing says Hey friend, I want you to embrace the joy better than a large iced coffee, right?

So c’mon, kiddos, enter today, and share with your family and friends. They deserve to be in on the fun, too.

The winner will be drawn as soon as I’ve finished my first cup of joe on Friday morning.
