My Sweet Little Thing item this week is so darned sweet, I’m going to let it stand alone.
When we were driving down the highway on Wednesday toward the doctor’s office, The Man called to see how The Boy was doing.
After a short conversation in which Matt filled dad in on all the details of his early-morning journey, he wrapped the conversation up with
I love you, too, Dad.
He started to add something to that, but dad had hung up, so The Boy issued a slightly disappointed-with-himself-and-frustrated Ooooh!
“What’s the matter, Bug?” I asked, and he replied:
I forgot to say ‘xoxoxo.’
That Boy loves his dad … and he wanted to make sure he knew it.
