I’ve become more of myself in this past year than I’ve been in over 20.
When I was a little girl, I loved to write and I loved to dance. I’d do both often and with abandon, and I did it for the joy of the expression, not so much for accolades {which is good, because no matter how fantastic I imagined I looked when I shook my groove thing, I saw it on film once: SO not pretty.}
But whether it’s eye-pleasing or not, if it’s soul good and your spirit moves you, you need to do it.
I took care of the dance thing a few years ago when a friend talked me into BodyJam classes {and now I’ve another friend who’s opening up her own dance studio, complete with Hip Hop classes … be still my two-left-footed heart}!
And this blog has given me the most perfect outlet to write and share my growing love for photography. And it’s led to opportunities. This Sunday I’ll be helping a friend out with some head shots at her new office, and I’m so excited, which has inspired this week’s WWYWWW post.
I’ll be wearing something along these lines. I have most of what I need already in my own closet, save for that blouse and the vintage-inspired camera bag. That shade of green, those ruffles, that leather. Dreamy …
Considering yesterday’s post, though, I’m happy to let those remain a wish.
