Keepin’ It Simple Summer . Week 4 : Neighborhood Quiet

Do you hear that?

It’s quiet.

The simple, sweet sound of quiet. No traffic. No radio. No TV. Just nature at its best.

No matter where you are right now, I want you to click the arrow {you may be redirected to YouTube}, turn up the volume, close your eyes and picture yourself in a hammock, listening to the sweet sound of wind through trees and birds engaging in afternoon conversation.

Unless you’re already in a hammock.

Then there’s no need.

Wasn’t that wonderful?

One afternoon when The Boy was playing at a friend’s, I went to grab my mail and listened to the neighborhood. Just stood where I was and listened, and it was the best free therapy I’ve ever had. I had to capture it.

{On a side note, I apologize for the ridiculous amount of movement in this video. Seriously, can anyone offer a suitable alternative to coffee? I think I’m up for intervention.}

Calm your mind and

rest your soul

by listening to lots of quiet this summer.

You’ll be all the better for it.
